Our Story

The idea of starting fresh is such a unique concept. Sometimes we look to the future and tell ourselves “When the time is right… That’s when I will live my dream.”

For our family, the time to “live our dream” is now. We are native Californians who decided that it was time for a change for our family. We were striving for a fresh start and in Spring Hill, Tennessee we settled.

Our formative years have been spent in public service. Adam – a retired Sergeant from the Long Beach Police Department in CA; and Kristi – a primary school teacher (both in the classroom and online) were brought up on a strong work ethic and service to others.

We spent a lot of time looking for our place in the world and we realized that it was not to remain in Southern CA. We moved to Tennessee in the summer of 2022 and although we found our town, we continued to look for how we were going to live our new life.

After a lot of prayer, hard work, and family support, White Shepherd Coffee was born. It is our goal is to bring about memories, meeting new people each day, finding time to gather and share our lives with one-another, and to serve our community in this new, exciting way.

Grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend has always been one of our favorite things to do and we want our coffee to create memories for you too! We have invested our time to make your experience with White Shepherd Coffee something to look forward to again and again.

White Shepherd Coffee is not only a Mobile Coffee Trailer, but an idea. The idea of starting fresh daily and knowing that each day is a gift. Let us share our lives with you and we would love to get to know you over a cup of delicious coffee.

It is our goal to continue to grow our community relationships and have developed some great community partnerships with local ministries and non-profit organizations. These relationships have given us the opportunity to give back in ways we could only have imagined before. We will strive to make each day count, and we wish you the best each day, from our family to yours.

Our Coffee

Our coffee is Organic and Fair Trade. The current blends are sourced from farms in South America and Ethiopia. Both our Medium Roast and Dark Roast coffees are great on Drip, Espresso and Cold Brew.

The Eighty-Seven Blend – Medium Roast

The origin is African and South American coffees mostly from Guatemala and Peru with an Ethiopian focus in the flavor profile. This is a rich, full body coffee with tastes of cocoa and a slight floral aroma. This blend is a favorite and makes great coffee in all formats, drip, espresso and French press.

When naming our first blend, we wanted to be true to our roots and the “Eighty-7” is a callback to the police radio 10-code “10-87”. On the West Coast, “10-87” means to “meet the officer.” In Long Beach, Adam and his partners would “87” with one-another at coffee shops in their divisions in order to catch up, take a few moments to connect, and enjoy some hot coffee between radio calls.

Port Royal Blend – Dark Roast

The origin is a blend of African, Central and South American Beans from select farms that produce constant quality. It is strong, hearty, and delivers an excellent drink for both drip and espresso options. For home use, this blend works well in a French Press too!

When naming our second blend, we wanted to encompass our newfound home in Spring Hill Tennessee. Our shop is commonly described to be “off Old Port Royal Rd.” After much thought, we felt that there was no better, more regal name for this dark roast to have that describes White Shepherd and our commitment to the local community than “Port Royal.”
